Allison Cara Tolman (born April 2nd, 1985) is an American actor from the United States. Her nominations for Emmys and Golden Globes in her role of Molly Solverson on the FX show Fargo's debut season. Then, in Chicago, Illinois in 2009 she completed her studies in performance at The Second City Training Center. Career In 2014, Tolman starred in the premiere series of FX black comedy crime series Fargo. Fargo is a movie starring veteran actors Billy Bob Thornton Martin Freeman Bob Odenkirk. The movie was based on the Coen brothers' film of exactly the same title. Tolman's performance in the role of Minnesota cop Molly Solverson was praised by Vanity Fair, who wrote: "She calmly and confidently stole the whole performance". For her role, she won the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Film/Miniseries, and received Best Actress nominations at the Emmy Awards and for the Golden Globes. Tolman's guest role in The Mindy Project, as romance writer Abby Berman for two episodes and was revealed the same day. In 2015, she was an supporting role of Michael Dougherty s comedy horror film Krampus. Tolman was a star who made a breakout part in Fargo, declined supporting roles as mothers, wives and best friends in order to take on a role that was more distinctive. Tolman's 2017 role in ABC Downward Dog was based on her role in the Animal Media Group Web Series. After one season it was canceled. Tolman was a star in the drama show Emergence which premiered on the 24th of September, 2019. It was pulled on May 21, 2020, after just one episode despite "pretty solid" viewership, according to Tolman. Also, she guest starred in the show on NBC called Good Girls. In 2021, she acted as Alma Filcott on the second season of Why Women Kill and Natalie Green, the Facts of Life, of Live in Front of a Studio Audience 3rd edition.
